parade to take place august 31st

Super Happy Fun America is excited to announce that the City of Boston has agreed to our request to hold a Straight Pride Parade on August 31st.   We would like to congratulate the City for embracing progress and recognizing the rights of straights.  The parade will be a seminal moment in the history of civil rights in America.  All are welcome, both straights and allies, to join us in celebrating the diverse history, culture, and contributions of the straight community.

Ever since knowledge of the parade became public, there has been a barrage of hate directed against straight people.  We are disappointed that celebrities and politicians including Whoopi Goldberg, Chris Evans, Stephen Colbert, Bill Maher, Alexandria Ocasio Cortez and Eric Swalwell have chosen to use their power and privilege to fan the flames of intolerance by disparaging our young civil rights movement.  However, we are encouraged by all the support we have received from around the world.  The parade is a festive occasion that will be used as a platform to educate the public on the unique problems facing our community and to fight against heterophobia.

While we are greatly appreciative of our gains, especially the parade, there is still a lot of work to be done in order to achieve full straight equality.  We will continue to push for the City of Boston to allow the straight pride flag to be flown from the City’s flag poles.  Unfortunately, the City has chosen to deny our request in violation of MGL c.272, s.98 which prohibits discrimination based upon sexual orientation in places of public accommodation.  We ask Mayor Walsh to reconsider his decision not to attend the parade and instead join us in order to express his support for the straight community. Also, we are asking that an “S” be added to LGBTQ in order to be inclusive of our community and foster an environment of super happiness, fun, tolerance and love.

Please direct media inquiries to info@superhappyfunamerica.com or call us at (774) 224-5100.  Also, we will be conducting regular live streams and press conferences in order to keep the public informed.

Donations to our cause can be made here.

parade permit coming SOON

Super Happy Fun America is excited to be working with the City of Boston on the Straight Pride Parade.  Our next meeting with the City is on June 26th where the date of the parade will be finalized. We will hold a press conference outside of City Hall on the same day at 12:30 PM in order to give details to the public. All media are welcome to attend but we encourage interested parties to contact us at info@superhappyfunamerica.com prior to the press conference to let us know you are coming.

Although the Walsh administration was initially resistant to change, we congratulate the Mayor for having the courage to embrace progress by acknowledging the rights of straights in the City of Boston.  We would be delighted if the Mayor would speak at the parade and express his support for our community.  We are confident that one day straights will achieve full equality and be able to celebrate their lifestyle without fear of judgment and hate.  The straight pride parade is an important milestone in our goal to create a society that is both super happy and fun.

shfa ‘fires back’ at the view

Super Happy Fun America (SHFA) has a bone to pick with the hosts of the View for comments made about our parade.  By labeling our movement as a “straight white guy parade”, Whoopi Goldberg effectively trivialized the voices of many in the diverse communities that are participating.  Goldberg’s comments were an act of literal violence that has endangered the lives of heterosexuals everywhere.   “I am Syrian”, explained Mark Sahady, Vice President of SHFA.  “My people have been through a lot, and it is highly problematic to be dismissed simply because I do not fit society’s stereotypes.”

Similarly, Chris Bartley, SHFA’s gay ambassador, was both dismayed and surprised to learn that he was assumed to be straight.  “Just because I am gay does not mean I can’t advocate on behalf of straights”, said Bartley.  “If the View’s hosts had researched our organization, they may have avoided making reactionary comments from a place of ignorance.”  After learning that Joy Behar accused the organizers of being “in the closet” gays, Bartley stated that it was insulting to people of all orientations.

Heterosexuals have languished in the shadows for decades, but we’re not taking it lying down.  Until an “S” is added, LGBTQ pride will continue to be a system of oppression designed to systematically erase straight people from existence.  SHFA will accept nothing less than a public apology from the View’s hosts, as this is necessary for the healing process to begin.  Only then is it possible to educate them on our differences and similarities in order to build a Super Happy Fun America.

Announcing the shfa philharmonic

Milo Yiannopoulos livestream

In celebration of becoming a global phenomenon, Super Happy Fun America is announcing the formation of the Super Happy Fun America Philharmonic.  Straights have made significant contributions to the art of music throughout history and the philharmonic is a tribute to this long-standing tradition.  We will foster equity, inclusion, respect, and tolerance through the musical arts.  The philharmonic’s debut performance will be at the Boston Straight Pride Parade tentatively scheduled for August 31st.

Milo Yiannopoulos will do a live stream with John Hugo, Super Happy Fun America’s President, on Monday, June 17th, 2019 at 1 PM Eastern Standard Time.  As the Grand Marshal of the Boston Straight Pride Parade, Milo is in a unique position to advocate on behalf of straights everywhere.  The live stream can be seen at the following link:

MILO YIANNOPOULOS REPLACES FORMER MASCOT

Super Happy Fun America is proud to announce that there will be a Straight Pride Parade in Boston.  The event is being held to achieve inclusivity and spread awareness of issues impacting straights in Greater Boston and beyond.  We would like to thank New York Times editor Carolyn Ryan for taking up our cause and publicizing the event.  The positive response we have received is very encouraging and leads us to believe that one day straights will be able to express pride in themselves without fear of judgement and hate.

Due to a scheduling conflict, our former mascot is no longer available.  Not to worry, we found someone younger, more handsome, and more in tune with heroic masculine virtues.  Milo Yiannopoulos has accepted the offer to be mascot and Grand Marshall of the parade!  The livestream will take place Monday, June 10th at 1 PM Eastern Standard Time and can be seen at the following link:

Upon his appointment as Grand Marshall, Milo Yiannopoulos said: “I might technically be a sequined and perfectly coiffed friend of Dorothy’s, but I’ve spent my entire career advocating for the rights of America’s most brutally repressed identity—straight people—so I know a thing or two about discrimination.

“This parade is a gift to anyone, male or female, black or white—gay and transgender allies, too!—who will stand with us and celebrate the wonder and the majesty of God’s own heterosexuality. Men, bring your most toxic selves. Women, prepare to burn your briefcases! Because it’s great to be straight, and we’re not apologizing for it any more. We’re Here, Not Queer.”

Please send all media inquiries to our email address including a phone number where you can be reached.  We will be happy to provide interviews and more details.  Thank you.

MILO YIANNOPOULOS is an award-winning journalist, a New York Times-bestselling author, an international political celebrity, a free speech martyr, a comedian, an accomplished entrepreneur, a hair icon, a penitent and, to the annoyance of his many enemies, an exceedingly happy person. He is not straight, though he does continue to periodically try it out. He is the most censored, most lied-about man in the world, banned from stepping foot on entire continents for his unapologetic commitment to free expression. But he is also, somehow, one of the most sought-after speakers anywhere, invited by foreign governments, wealthy individuals and even the occasional courageous private company to share his unique blend of laughter and war. Milo lurches from improbable triumph to improbable triumph, loathed by establishment Left and Right alike. His first book, Dangerous, sold over 200,000 copies, despite never being reviewed in any major publication. Milo lives in New Jersey with his husband, John.
